Lucy Developments Ltd asked CHP to assist them with their first project as Developer AND Main Contractor. This 40 dwelling development was initially purchased by LDL with Planning in place, and it was soon discovered that the units were oversized and awkward due to their three-storey layout. CHP has worked with LDL to reduce the units’ sizes making the majority of the house 2 storey but still achieving the National Space Standards and providing the same number of bed spaces on site. We are awaiting the approval of Revised Planning while completing the working drawing package. The scheme missed the start date required for the previous version of Part O Building regulationsso a re-design was necessary to achieve the Local Planning Authorities requirement to better the 2021 regulations by 30% which proved challenging but not unatainable.
