Following Kadans purchase of the Abingdon Science Park,  CHP were appointed to continue our 30-year involvement on this site, gaining Planning Consent for the final scheme in July 2022. The building is currently under construction and comprises lettable research and laboratory space communal amenity space. The scheme is designed as a shell and core achieving BREEAM excellent, we are novated to SDC Builders Ltd who specialise in the construction of Science and Technology Buildings, to complete this stage.

The ground floor is designed with a solid reinforced slab to take loads of 5kN/sqm sqm and a low vibration factor for high performing laboratory space – the MEP is design with 20% redundancy to allow for tenant fitout and with 50% additional plant space to enable the tenants to add their own specialist installations. The scheme creates a central focus to the Science Park and shared facilities to stimulate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
